Rancilio is a company with a long tradition of producing high quality espresso coffee machines since the twenties. The Rancilio S27 espresso machine is entirely automatic, entirely controlled by microprocessor circuit-boards that take care of all the machine’s functions. You can program your desired coffee dosage and hot water supply for brewing consistency and saving time. You can choose single or double servings of espresso, cappuccino and au lait at the press of a button. The S27 includes hot water spout for fresh brewed tea. (Production capacity 40 cups per hour - average.)
The hot water delivery is also controlled by a soft-touch switch and can be programmed to dispense a pre-determined amount of water (with override) for maximum safety and convenience. A press of the soft-touch delivery button (5 modes) provides an exact dose of espresso time after time, due to the use of a 'Gicar' water meter. The Rancilio S27 has a hidden switch to 'lock' the programs in place and prevent non-authorized adjustment of the settings.
All Rancilio commercial espresso machines feature a unique bypass on the 'Procon' volumetric pump which allows for accurate pump pressure adjustment and consistent pour results every time. The boiler features a fully welded heat exchanger (many other machines feature "bolt & gasket" construction, which are prone to leakage over time). With features such as electronic boiler water level and an anti-syphon valve (prevents accidental milk infiltration into boiler), the Rancilio S27 is low maintenance. A large boiler pressure gauge on the front panel is color coded for easy viewing.
The Rancilio S27 espresso machine is designed to be plumbed in, however it can be used as a portable machine, drawing water out of a water jug or placed on a cart if desired.
