Fully automatic espresso machines are the kind of espressso machines that you see in Cafés and restaurants. You load the portafilter with ground coffee, tap it down, and load it into the espresso machine. The espresso machine will automatically dispense the right amount of water with the right amount of pressure to make a great cup of espresso. You can program the machine for different size shots and still get a consistant flavor.
Fully automatic espresso machines can use espresso pods. Espresso pods are pre-ground, pre-measure, compacted coffee sandwiched between filter paper. Simply put them in the portafilter, brew your coffee, and throw the pod away. Most fully automatic espresso machines can use pods and some, like the Blitz 202CL, only accept pods.
